Carmathen Quins under 10's played host to St.Clears where the whole team played a skilful and direct game of rugby.
The young Quins controlled the game from the beginning with Gruff and Jesse using their skill and strength to break through the line of defence to gain territory. The Quins demonstrated an excellent defensive line with Matthew and Owain H putting their bodies on the line to prevent the St. Clears attack.
The first try of the game came from a loose ball at the ruck where a quick thinking and determined Steffan scooped the ball up and barged through the defence to score by the posts. To top it all off, Cian who was at the right place at the right time, intercepted the ball and ran half the pitch to score a solo try.
The final score was 40-5.
