This weekend Caramthen Quins under 10's who were captained by Finley travelled to Pembroke where the young Quins challenged the opposition from the very beginning.
The captain set the tone by breaking through the line and scoring the first try of the game. At this point Pembroke were taken by surprise and began their counter attack.
This is when Gruff stepped up to the mark and took full advantage of his strength to break through the line of defence as well as apply it in the tackle area. He utilised his strength positively throughout the game and modelled exceptional skills until the final whistle blew.
The second half of the game gave other members of the team an opportunity to shine with Owain D and Jesse making crucial tackles to defend. The final half also saw two brilliant interceptions; one by Cian that enabled the Quins to gain back some territory and the second by Owain H where he then ran the whole length of the pitch to score, securing a 35-10 victory.
