Carmarthen Quins under 11s travelled to Whitland where they participated in a festival along with local and touring teams.

The Quins played Narberth first who came out strong. However, the young Quins used fine offloads and direct running to secure the first points on the board. Narberth responded with the second try of the game but the Quins were determined not to let this phase them with Elis P breaking through the defence and unselfishly offloading the ball at a crucial moment to finish off a brilliant try.

At full time the Quins came away victorious with a 15-5 win. 

In their second game of the day against Llantwit Major the Quins were hungry for further success with Gulliver, Sam, Ioan and Elis P applying strong tackles to defend their line. Iestyn and Fin used every opportunity to turn the ball over which enabled Gruff, Owain H, Cai and Elis T to counter attack. The final score was 15-0 to the young Quins. The third game against Llangwm was dominated by the Quins who controlled possession. Osian, Steffan J and Lewis used their strength and fine technique in defence, engaging in some hard hitting tackles. The Quins won their third game of the day 30 points to 5.

The final game against the newly formed Whitlarne tested the Quins' fitness. Both teams defended well with big hits, straight running and fine offloads ending in a 10-10 draw.
